Facility Based Services

VTC Enterprises offers the following services 
in both Santa Maria and Lompoc
(DAY PROGRAMS-FACILITY BASED)
The Adult Development Center serves people who require an intensive level of support. There are three participants per instructor. This program addresses the curriculum listed below at a very basic level using full supports. Individuals enrolled in this program are supervised at all times.
The Day Training and Activity Center serves people who are beginning to work on mastery of the skills listed below. Training opportunities are offered at a ratio of six participants per instructor. Individuals enrolled in this program receive more general supervision and are independent on their breaks and lunch. A program for seniors is also offered.
 

The programs are designed to assist each person attain his/her highest level of independence in the following areas:
  Life Skills includes:
  • Behavior Management
  • Self-help, Independent Living, Socialization
  • Functional Academics

 

 
  Recreation, Physical Fitness and health includes:
  • Motor Skills
  • Mobilization
  • Nutrition
  • Health Practices
  • General Safety
clients & staff participating in a swim class  
  Vocational Development:
  • A continuum of work tasks develop practical vocational skills and work behaviors
  • These are largely offered in "classroom" environments
  • Each individual participates in at least two community training sessions per week
